Rhino collects Gold Award at RoSPA presentation event

July 13 2022

After receiving a Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in April of this year, the prestigious award was collected last month at a presentation event at Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire.

The event, attended by Rhino Engineering Group’s Managing Director, Stuart Lawrence, and the company’s newly promoted Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager, Jez Alston, celebrated the many businesses leading the way in health and safety management.

RoSPA’s annual awards recognise businesses across a range of sectors, performing at the highest level with regard to the implementation of systems to minimise or eliminate workplace hazards.

With thousands of entrants each year, the receipt of this coveted award places Rhino Doors shoulder to shoulder with businesses from across the world demonstrating their commitment to effectively managing, and improving, the health, safety and wellbeing of their workforces.

This latest award follows a year of great success for Rhino in the arena of health and safety; in August 2021 the company received an ISO 45001 certification, and in January 2022 launched its CSR strategy, detailing its investment in its workplace and people.

Jez Alston, SHEQ Manager at Rhino Doors, commented: “It’s a great honour to collect this award on behalf of the Rhino team, whose hard work and dedication to industry excellence has been recognised.”

“Following my recent appointment as SHEQ Manager, I’ll be continuing to work with my colleagues to evaluate and refine our processes, ensuring we have the most robust systems in place to safeguard our employees and others who come into contact with our work.”

“We’re incredibly grateful to RoSPA for recognising Rhino on this scale – recognition which will only strengthen our resolve to be a leading industry figure for health and safety best practice.”
