Rhino Doors receives new ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications

Rhino Doors, the UK’s leading manufacturer and designer of high-performance doors, has received internationally recognised ISO certifications for its environmental management and health and safety management systems.

The company was successfully awarded ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications after months of preparation followed by a lengthy auditing process and assessment period, during which time Rhino Doors was required to demonstrate the effectiveness of its systems and supply evidence to support its performance.

ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) applies to the environmental aspects of an organisation’s activities, and receipt of this certification highlights to existing and future clients, the company and external bodies that Rhino Doors has rigorous processes in place to measure and improve upon its environmental impact.

ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) certification demonstrates that Rhino Doors has efficient systems in place to improve health and safety, minimise or eliminate hazards, and to integrate additional aspects of health and safety, such as worker wellness and wellbeing.

On Rhino Doors’ receipt of these new certifications, Jez Alston, QA Manager, said: ”Rhino has always been an organisation that puts health and safety and environmental issues at the forefront of its thinking and decision making.

“The award of these certifications gives formal recognition of our endeavours in these areas. My thanks go to all management and staff who have been involved in this process.

“We look forward to building on our success by continually improving and developing our processes to make systems and products safer with minimal environmental impact.”

The award of these new certifications is a momentous achievement for Rhino Doors, whose year has already been marked by exciting new contract wins with the likes of Transport for London, as well as the launch of a new parent company, Rhino Engineering Group, and two specialist subsidiaries, Rhino Site Systems and Rhino HySafe.

As the organisation continues to expand and evolve its services, moving into new sectors and developing new product offerings, these new ISO certifications will work to further strengthen Rhino Doors’ position as a major organisation within the UK engineering sector.
