As a leading provider of high-security door solutions, we’re delighted to reveal that Rhino Doors has recently secured a significant contract with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to supply 56 Armoury doors. This contract underscores our commitment to delivering top-tier security solutions and highlights our agility and responsiveness in meeting client needs. 

When presented with the opportunity to supply Armoury Doors to the MOD, we were up to the challenge. Despite facing stringent manufacturing and fiscal constraints, we demonstrated remarkable adaptability, ensuring the project moved forward seamlessly. 

Our manufacturing flexibility was one key strength that enabled Rhino Doors to secure this contract. We tailored our production processes to suit the unique requirements of the MOD’s order, allowing us to meet the client’s precise needs. 

We designed the Armoury Doors to provide robust protection for ammunition stored within military facilities. We must build them to withstand security threats and blast forces to offer unparalleled security and peace of mind. 

To fulfil this order, our expert team are adapting our existing Rhino-HC government security-rated hinged doors to meet the needs of The Ministry of Defence and ensure that its ammunition storage facilities remain safeguarded against potential threats. 

The existing Rhino-HC doors have options to be blast resistant, ballistic resistant to FB4/G2 and with acoustic attenuation up to R_w43dB. They are available as single- and double-leaf door options, single-swing options, and side and over-panel options. 

High-quality solid steel hinges with grease nipple lubricated and phosphor bronze brushes with high-security locks finish the secure door designs. 

The standard Rhino-HC door finish is Colorcoat© sheets in a range of standard colours, galvanised steel, or powder coated in RAL colours to suit our clients’ needs and preferences. 

At our factory, we have established a North West-based special projects and product development facility, where we employ staff who combine blast, structural, and mechanical design expertise with long-term experience in designing bespoke, high-integrity steel doors and blast walls. 

Working closely with the MOD, Rhino Doors is adapting our existing Rhino-HC door designs to ensure they meet their needs at our facility. Our expert team produces our pre-engineered NPSA (formerly CPNI) attack delay-rated sliding and folding doors and bespoke, multi-performance-rated door and wall constructions at our factory in the heart of the Welsh steel industry.
