Rhino Doors Invests in Growth

Rhino Doors will begin permanent manufacturing operations at its Carr Place facility in early 2026, responding to growing demand for our comprehensive range of pre-engineered and bespoke primary and multi-performance-rated doors, as well as the need for additional production capacity.

Rhino Doors has used the Bamber Bridge site in Lancashire several times in the past for short-term operations when extra manufacturing output was needed. While most production will continue at the main Port Talbot facility, increasing demand has led to the decision to establish a permanent manufacturing cell in the North West.

To support permanent operations at Carr Place, the group has invested in several key areas:

  • A secure staff car parking area and loading area in front of the facility
  • A new free-standing jib crane for safe handling of heavier fabricated parts in the workshop
  • New storage racking for finished parts
  • New workshop management accommodation, featuring a demonstration Rhino-HF3 combination security and fire door
  • The appointment of an Operations Manager to oversee all workshop functions

Welcome our New Operations Manager

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of John Brierley as Operations Manager for Carr Place. John joined our sister company, Rhino Site Systems Limited, in 2021 on the door installation team and was quickly promoted to site supervisor. A time-served fabricator by trade, John brings nearly 50 years of experience in the bespoke industrial door sector.

Matt Richards, Managing Director of Rhino Doors, said: “Opening permanent operations at Carr Place is an extremely important step for the business. The growth we’ve seen over the past few years has been encouraging, and this investment allows us to meet increasing customer demand while maintaining the quality and service our clients expect. John’s experience and knowledge of our products make him the right person to lead operations at the facility, and we look forward to seeing what John and the team at Carr Place can achieve.”

The Rhino Doors range of products is British-made, purpose-designed, and for use in the protection of national assets. We have established ourselves over many years in key sectors, including transport, defence and infrastructure. We look forward to continuing to grow our customer base and our product range over the coming years, and our Carr Place facility will help us do that.
