New Product Launch: Introducing the Rhino-SFL High-Security Door

The Rhino-SFL High-Security Door

Rhino has a longstanding reputation for producing robust, high-security, large sliding and folding doors. Our flagship products, the Rhino-SFC (sliding/folding variant), Rhino-FC (folding variant), and Rhino-SC (sliding variant), have set industry standards for over three decades. Designed for structural openings up to 26m wide and 8m high, these doors meet the stringent UK Government National Protective Security Authority (NPSA, formerly CPNI) high-security standards, ensuring protection and reliability.

We’re excited to announce the Rhino-SFL (sliding/folding variant), a new product that complies with the internationally recognised LPS11175 standard administered by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). This standard is a testament to our commitment to providing you with the highest level of security. The Rhino-SFL has been rigorously tested and has achieved an impressive G5 rating under the latest Issue 8 of the LPS1175 standard.

Rhino-SFL Benefits and Features

The Rhino-SFL represents a significant advancement in high-security door solutions, addressing the growing need for secure vehicular access doors beyond the UK Government NPSA standard. Here are some of the key features that set the new Rhino-SFL apart:

LPS1175 Issue 8 Compliance: Rhino-SFL meets the stringent requirements of Issue 8. This update involves crucial changes to enhance security measures, reflecting the evolving nature of threats.

G5 Security Rating: Rhino-SFL has achieved a G5 rating, indicating it successfully resisted an attack for five minutes using the second-highest tool kit (Tool Kit G). This high level of protection ensures Rhino-SFL can withstand significant threats, providing peace of mind for our customers.

• Proven Running Gear: Leveraging the well-proven running gear from our NPSA-compliant doors, Rhino-SFL offers seamless operation in either manual and electric modes. This ensures reliability and ease of use, even in the most demanding environments.

• Versatility: The Rhino-SFL doors cover a wide size range, accommodating various structural requirements. They are available for structural openings from 2m to 8m in height and from 1.2m to 13.8m in width in one way opening configuration. This flexibility makes them suitable for numerous applications, from industrial facilities to high-security government installations.

The LPS1175: Issue 8 Standard

The LPS1175: Issue 8 standard is a critical benchmark for security products, and understanding this rating system is essential. The standard assigns a security rating based on the notional attacker’s tool kit and the duration the product can resist the attack.

The below infographic from LPCB illustrates this process clearly.

In our case, the G5 security rating system signifies the Rhino-SFL is capable of withstanding two person attacks using any of the tools within Tool Kit G, highlighting its robust security features and suitability for use in high threat environments.

As we celebrate the launch of the Rhino-SFL, we are committed to expanding our product range further. Throughout 2024, we will introduce additional variants of this door type that adhere to the LPS1175 standard, continuing to innovate and provide excellence in high-security door solutions.

The Rhino-SFL door marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide top-tier security solutions. Its compliance with the latest LPS1175 Issue 8 standard and the impressive G5 rating demonstrates our dedication to meeting and exceeding industry standards.
