Rhino Engineering Group sponsors Welsh rugby team for third year running

April 07 2022

Rhino Engineering Group, the UK’s leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance engineered doors, is sponsoring elite rugby team, The Butchers, for their 2022 summer season.

The Port Talbot-based rugby squad is run by volunteers, with the aim of supporting young players to reach their goals and progress to play the sport at a regional and national level.

The team, which has been sponsored by Rhino for the last three years, has a string of awards under its belt, with recent successful tournaments in both Dubai and Ireland.

This season will see The Butchers compete in seven major competitions in the Isle of Wight, Bournemouth, Gibraltar, Frome, Old Penarth, Chiswick and Worcester.

Managing Director of Rhino Engineering Group, Stuart Lawrence, said: “We’re very pleased to be sponsoring The Butchers rugby team for the third time, as they begin their 2022 summer season.

“We’re proud to be able to give back to the local community here in Wales and supporting players with great ambition and potential is a brilliant way for us to invest in our young people.”

Gareth Howells, Team and Commercial Manager of The Butchers, said: “We are very grateful to the team at Rhino Engineering Group for their continued support and sponsorship over the past three years.

“Without this support, the team would not be able to play. The sponsorship goes a long way and helps us to play tournaments, as well as covering entry costs, travel and accommodation.”
